by:Anthony J Trimboli- Writer- Howard Beach, New York- One of the marvelously refurbished stations in the New York City Transit system would have to be the brand new Howard Beach-JFK Station that is located in Howard Beach by John F Kennedy Airport.
Besides an occurance once where somebody was vommitting reoccurantly on the steps that i was traveling down almost every day, they must have had anorexia or something like that, the station and its upkeep is almost like a kingdom somewhere in the Mideval days. Today, there seemed to be a problem with the elevator and New York City Transit Service Delivery was contacted but it turns out it was construction by MTA Capital Construction to improve the station.
The station booth inside of Howard Beach-JFK almost has the attendant looking like a king or queen in the throne in the center of the ring or platform. Snacks and food is served too at the station. You also have exits to the airport and Air Train and the regular New York City Transit subways.
Sparkling floors. The upkeep of the station is marvelous. This is what is shocking when the occurances of vommit constantly day by day on the steps going down that was striking. I was shocked at how none of these porters who are busy going around and they are busy as heck did not notice this vommit every single day at the stairs of Howard Beach-JFK that people could slip down on and do a good shimmy slide as they say onto the platform.
Once, I spoke to the porter about people spilling soda in the elevators and the hispanic woman said "Yes, it shall be done" as like it were a kingdom or something. This still shocks me how vommit was left there every single day on the stairs of Howard Beach-JFK until a call was made to Service Delivery in Brooklyn, New York and the vommit was no longer there.
One of the most royalest ventures with New York City Transit, the MTA, and the Port Authority had to be this brand new station in this community. It sparkles, honestly.
