by:Anthony J Trimboli- If you are heading East or West out of Queens, New York, you should be advised to take public transportation such as a bus or a train. The traffic has gotten heavier going either West towards Manhattan or East towards Long Island, I assume because people have businesses in both locations.

The best way to go if you are traveling East or West out of Queens is to take the bus like Long Island Bus at Jamaica Terminal or at the end of the A Train stop at Mott Avenue or taking the R or V Trains at Woodhaven Blvd or 71-Continental Av to get to Manhattan.

The roads are highly congested going East or West here in Queens, New York and this would be my best suggestion to you to get out of the area quickly and get to your destination quickly.

Long Island Buses are available mostly at Jamaica Center and at the end of the A Train line at Mott Avenue. The NYC Subway trains are avaiable at any station that says Manhattan.

Do not take your car to either Long Island or Manhattan some days.
