by:Anthony J Trimboli- Queens, New York- EDITORIAL- Does anybody know how to get to Roosevelt Island from Queens?? Most in New York City believe that you have to hop on a bus or train and get the tram at 2 Avenue and E 60 Street. But, there are easier ways to get there.
New York City Department of Transportation says there is a Roosevelt Island Bridge. As of this point, I still can not find this bridge going to Roosevelt Island.
New York City Transit saves us however by giving a stop on the F Train that is Roosevelt Island. The F Train runs express from Jamaica, Queens out to Coney Island, Brooklyn and has a stop that says Roosevelt Island on it on the F Train where you can get off and you are on Roosevelt Island.
In New York City, it is shocking how there is no real way that people know how to get to Roosevelt Island besides the tram at 2 Avenue and E 60 Street. I am so shocked at how New York City government or any other government around the area would give more directions on how to get to Roosevelt Island. As of this point, I am still cloudy as to where there is a Roosevelt Island Bridge in Astoria, New York plus they have construction on it. It was a good move on New York City Transit to put a stop on the F Train for Roosevelt Island or nobody would know literally how to get to this place!!!
