by:Anthony J Trimboli- Queens, New York- Please watch out for flooding in seaside areas of Queens, New York such as the Rockaways and Howard Beach and Broad Channel. Certain elements lead to extreme flooding in areas like Howard Beach, New York, Rockaways, New York, and Broad Channel, New York on the Southwestern side of Queens, New York.
Firstly, sidewalks may be caving in on the streets of these areas. With a large influx of people heading towards Manhattan, New York because it is one of the few areas around here which offers work, things will be left behind, like a sidewalk caving in, for example. The problem can have a relation to Quality of Life.
Secondly, sewer drains and tropical weather may lead to an excess of water in certain areas around the oceans and bays like Howard Beach, New York and the Rockaways, NY and Broad Channel, New York. If you are closer to the water, there may be an excess in storm rain that comes down.
Most of these factors, I believe, are related to Mother Nature, but some may have a relation to Quality of Life in these times in New York City, New York with a large influx of people heading to one single borough to find jobs and have a better shot at a job in Manhattan, New York. I do not know what is responsible for the large amount of people leaving these areas daily, but there is a large amount that does. Sidewalks cave in and things rust and you have falling apart stations and all of that. It has a slight Quality of Life factor.
Please dial 311 although it is mostly for Manhattan, New York and Brooklyn, New York when you are in New York City. The two main numbers to dial are 311 and 212-NEW YORK if you find any problems with flooding in areas like Broad Channel, New York, Howard Beach, New York and Rockaways, New York. The two numbers above can handle Quality of Life problems likewise with the large amount of people who are leaving Queens and parts of other boroughs to go to Manhattan, New York.
