QUEENS, NEW YORK- IF THERE IS A SLOWNESS ON THE PARKWAYS, IT IS NYC DOT DOING THEIR WORK

by:Anthony J Trimboli- Queens, New York- Recently, there has been an extensive slow down in traffic on many New York City parkways in Queens. Many parkways when you are traveling on them have an area where there is an extreme slowdown with the traffic on the parkways where cars sort of stand still with traffic because of one lane being closed. This happens DAILY here with the parkways in Queens especially.

The traffic you experience while riding on the parkways in Queens is small and you will be in it for a short time since it is the current extensive work of NYC DOT on the parkways holding up traffic on them. NYC DOT has been doing a large amount of work on the parkways in terms of clearing up debris on the side of the road and also helping make sure the roadways are safe. Most of the focus it seems to be is on the debris on the side of the road. There is lots of debris on the side of the road and I am happy that they are looking at the debris on the side.

If there is any traffic where you are held up on the parkway, it is for certain NYC DOT holding up the traffic on the parkway cleaning up the sides of the roads in terms of debris and pockets of garbage on the sides of the parkways, which is important especially on parkways like the Cross Island Parkway, where you find lots of debris on the side of the road.

The traffic jam will clear up quick.
