by:Anthony J Trimboli- Queens, New York- I am a 29 year old writer for your blog that is writing to inform you of some noticeable changes in the opening times of fast food and chinese food restaurants here in Queens, New York.
Again, there still is a horribly huge influx around Queens, New York of people going into Manhattan. Many parts of Queens can be barren during the day, yes, barren, because lots of the people are going into Manhattan for their leisure and not just work.
Again, I wish to offer you some advice if you are going out to do some small shopping and then eat at a chinese place. BEFORE you begin shopping, you should leave at about 11 AM from your home.
I have no idea, but pizzerias, chinese food places, and fast food places are opening up later and later here in Queens, like they may, I HOPE open up by 11:30 AM. I assume chinese food opens at about 11 or even 10;30 AM, but some seem to be opening at about 11:30 AM I HOPE here in Queens. Fast food stores like KFC for example, have their doors still locked even though their opening time says 10:30 or 10:00 AM. Once, I was in a KFC in Woodside, NY on Queens Blvd and a man in one of the parked cars waiting and waiting out there told me that they just ain't open on time. I left the KFC when it was 10:30 AM and they were not opening their doors. Again, this applies to pizzerias, chinese food, and fast food here in Queens.
Again, the suspicion is that the streets, YES, can be barren in some way. Lots of the flock of people seem to be traveling out of Queens and just leaving it each day until about 8 PM for the borough of Manhattan just to entertain themselves. It seems like LOTS to me at this hour... Yes, these people won't be back from Manhattan today until about 8 PM or something. This is a strong suspicion I have with later opening fast food and chinese food places around Queens.
So, in order to just not wait outside a closed door, if you are doing shopping here in New York City's Queens before eating at a fast food restaurant or chinese or perhaps a pizzeria, try to leave the house at 11 AM to shop. I have no idea why these places are opening so late, but the people are just not around.
