by:Anthony J Trimboli- Queens, New York- What a change in our winter this year here in 2008-2009. I can not believe how the weather has changed around here. It started off as a miserable, usual New York City winter but even worse.
The winter here in Queens and New York City, NY as you may know, started off with lots of snow like you had to shovel every single day. It was like a snowstorm every single day and lots and lots of shoveling needed to be done. I could not believe the snow accumulation at the beginning of the year's winter into 2009 like earlier this month.
What makes this Winter so unique is that the weather has changed drastically around New York City!!! It is like forty and fifty degree weather now here in New York City and Queens!!! You walk down the street and it is nice, sunny weather and I expected this winter to be more like snow storms every single day. New York City winters can be horrible so can the weather and I thought this winter would be the worst.
I can not believe the drastic change in the Winter this year. It is like the weather has changed so drastically from snow every single day to like warm weather every single day here in Queens and New York City.
The Mayor's Office of The City of New York is now planning some sort of special environmental program where they are going to now evaluate the warmness of the weather here in New York City and Queens, New York and they should...the weather changed very drastically this winter. Honestly. I think it is a smart move on the Mayor's Office of New York City to evaluate this problem with the weather where the temperature changes as drastically as it did this time.
