FOREST HILLS, NEW YORK- TRAIN STATIONS ARE AT LEAST KEPT UP WELL

by:Anthony J Trimboli- Elmhurst/Forest Hills/Kew Gardens, New York- It is a good thing to know that the train stations in areas of Queens are still kept up well. New York City Transit seems to have a direct focus on stations and deservedly so. I can not believe how TRILLIONS of people of all walks of life, including the elderly, use stations of New York City Transit that are decrepit and falling apart and rusty, etc.

The worst stations in the entire New York City Transit system would have to be Brooklyn and Manhattan like West 4 Street and perhaps the 4 Avenue stop on the F Train. Rusty gutters and sheds upstairs on the roof of the stations, etc. You can almost see and feel the rust of the stations as you go upstairs on them and all people, even the elderly, use the stations. There should almost be a disclaimer on who uses the stations some are really that bad.

A Customer Service representative of New York City Transit says that the main focus is now on the stations. AFter seeing how they are in Manhattan and Brooklyn, you would believe this should be priority for them.

Supposedly, New York City Transit is running low on money. They do not have the finances to come around to put on new trains and new stations. When you see some stations in the New York City Transit system, they are almost as bad as the police stations in the area which have like two workers inside of them in a busy section of Midtown and then they yell at you in Midtown Manhattan if something happens.

I see a sparkling difference in stations on the major train lines of New York City Transit like around Forest Hills and around Kew Gardens where the stations seem to be kept up well. Even lots of stations on the R and V Lines, which are local trains compared to the F and E around there are kept up good in terms of being painted properly and being scrubbed properly and having a good appearance to them that some people still take care of them.

Some of the best cleared stations are out there in Forest Hills, New York such as the 71-Continental Avenue station and lots of stations on the F and V and E and R lines. The worst can be in the Brooklyn and Manhattan areas.

It is striking how the stations here in certain areas of Queens are still kept up well as they are. Some in other boroughs are really falling apart badly like collapsing tin and collapsing gutters, etc. I do not think I will see any change in these stations in Queens I mentioned to you because the other stations are currently in such bad shape.
