by:Anthony J Trimboli- Long Island City, New York- Currently, there is construction going on underneath the 7 Train overpass on Queens Boulevard one block up from Queens Plz North. New York City Transit again believes that lots of its subways are falling apart, but this is hardly the truth since you see renovations on many subway lines in the New York City Transit system.
Almost, funny enough, all lines in the New York City Transit system besides the A Train line and C Train line are undergoing refurbishments each day.
Currently, New York City Transit was out there yesterday and was examining the rust and the metal poles that are underneath the 7 Train Line overpass. They were checking out because the last time these overpasses were painted it was like 1988 or 1992 or something like that.
It is an excellent preventive measure to have New York City Transit look at the underneath portion of the 7 Train overpass. Certain lines in the system, like the A and C Train lines really are falling apart because there is this TYPE of lack of maintenance on them.
This is a good preventive measure by New York City Transit.
