by:Anthony J Trimboli- Two of the best subway train lines are located in the borough of Queens and have their starting points in the borough of Queens. The F train and the R Train almost span three boroughs of New York City.
Howard Beach is famous for the A Train and how long a route it can be, but in terms of dimensions, you will not believe how trains like the R Train and F Train can really span the boroughs of Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn and really take you around the city.
If you begin on the R Train at Queens Boulevard by Queens Center Mall, you will not believe how it can take you as far out as the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. It also takes you through the middle and center of many areas of Brooklyn and many areas of Manhattan right in the heart of those areas like 42 Street, for example. Trains like the R Train and F Train are especially good in that they also can take you to both the East Side and West Side of Manhattan. Many trains are just there for the West Side commuter it seems.
The R Train is one of the most remarkable trains in terms of span of route. The F Train can also have a remarkable part of span of route. You start off in Forest Hills and end in Coney Island or Bay Ridge somewhere in good time. Compared to the A Train which is by me, which is famous for overcrowding and congestion and sometime fouled up scheduling, these routes like the F and R are very accurate in getting you from one location to the other.
In speaking to New York City Transit and the supervisors of the F and R Train in their efficiency and maintenance of the trains from Jamaica, Queens and Forest Hills, Queens, they really have no comment about people who compliment both lines on their efficiency. They commented that perhaps the A Train is not as good as their lines and it can not be on occasions.
The F Train is one of the most efficient train lines in New York City, I believe. At one point, people were complimenting the A Train line, but it has improved a little, so the point is pertinent, but train lines like the F Train really are lines that you see trains back to back and you have trains running that are clean, efficient, quiet, and really are there to get you from one location to another. I think the F and R also are the best when it comes to efficiency, but their superintendants have no real comment to make about this.
If anybody wants to get around all three boroughs of New York City, especially Manhattan, the R and F Trains are the best trains to get you around Manhattan the best. Ride on them and you can see the quality.
