by:Anthony J Trimboli- Elmhurst, New York- The attention to an athlete at the Newtown High School is marvelous and unique for a New York City Public School to have. There are not too many other public schools out there in New York City with an athletic field that is as good as Newtown High School in Corona-Elmhurst, New York.
The students work out and run and do ALL types of sports over there by their field and sporting complex on 55 Avenue and Justice Avenue in Elmhurst and walk down from their school in Corona. The field has an elaborate selection of sports to do such as track and football and baseball, it is a great field for athletes at this Corona and Elmhurst school.
In recently speaking to the people at Newtown High, they agree to a certain level that the field is something nice. They felt some sort of awe that the field can hold many sports when I spoke to them.
Besides that, the field seems to be more striking to the athlete or anybody who plays sports for the school. It is very very unique for a NYC Public School to have an athletic field as good as this one with Newtown High School. You can play a variety of sports and a variety of things on the field there. Athletes, especially runners, tend to like the track at Newtown High School.
Also, it is unknown if Newtown High School is a sports school. A local school in Ozone Park, New York named John Adams High School is a sports school, it has good sports and so do some other NYC Public Schools, but John Adams High School is still a good sports school for athletes. I did not hear this about Newtown High School in being a good sports school. Nothing was heard about this.
Besides that, Newtown High School has a marvelous athletic field that any athlete would really like working out on, especially the runner and perhaps the football player. Marvelous field.
