by:Anthony J Trimboli- INFORMATION: Throughout New York City, there is an excessive amount of potholes on the streets all around. The potholes are created mostly by construction vehicles that are in the area. You see lots of construction in the area and the construction is creating potholes.
The potholes can be huge and usually are found in back streets and major intersections. I still am unclear about this beautification work that NYC DOT is doing on the parkways, but they are trying very busily to keep the parkways clean and I guess all that work may be distracting them here in Queens especially.
If you want a pothole fixed or repaired, according to 311 or 212-NEW YORK, being the New York City information system, you will have to wait up to FORTY FIVE days, which is ridiculous. Yes, you MAY have to wait that long and it may take longer. 311 says they are BUSY also with service requests too.
Please watch out for large potholes on the roads because they are going to interfere with travel here in Queens especially, which can be a HIGH BLUE COLLAR BOROUGH of New York City. Lots of BLUE COLLAR WORK is done here in Queens recently. It seems to be a blue collar borough recently.
The potholes can be huge so watch your car in Queens.
