Are there any current Macaulay students that can help me out and let me know if i would get in? GPA: 91-92 SAT: Math:610 Critical Reading: 580 Writing: 630 ACT composite: 28 I'll be taking both again in the Fall. Almost all of my classes throughout high school have been honors classes, and as a New York resident i was required to take the NYS regents exams, and I scored above an 85 on all but one, so i have regents credit from that. So far in high school (im going into my senior year in fall 2010) I have taken 3 AP classes: Art History (4), World History (3), U.S. History (3). In my senior year i will be taking AP English and AP Eco. Also in my senior year I will be taking three college level classes, Syracuse Calc, Syracuse Public Policy, and college level Accounting. It's likely that in all I will do pretty well...In my junior year I took a college level class, Anatomy and Physiology, and as a final grade I got a 90. The class was worth 6 credits. Ill probably bump up my average in my senior year to around 93 unweighted, hopefully. Member of National Honors Society, member of high school band (drums), member of high school jazz band (guitar), I've played guitar for numerous school functions such as benefits for Haiti, As a freshman, sophomore, and junior I was a starter for the Varisty Ice hockey team and we finished 2nd place on Long Island, for all my years in high school I have been a member of a travel hockey team, captaining two of the teams; last year my team went to the Long Island Championships and finished in 2nd place, i have decent community service, might join model congress in my senior year and probably other clubs as well, im not sure if it will get me anywhere but occasionally i sing and play guitar for a crowd...suggestions to participate in other extracurriculars that would boost my resume are obviously welcome. I will be getting two letters of recommendation, one of which will be written by a highly respected high school teacher at my school/college professor at Queens College. I will also likely get reference letters from Baruch alumni in my family. Essays arent done yet.... Thanks!... Read More »
